The NEAR token traded between $4.97 and $5.10 after recovering from a drop to $4.62. Protected transactions made up 9.4% of monthly volume, mainly through Zcash-to-Bitcoin cross-chain transfers, while NEAR added post-quantum key migration options.
NEAR Intents handled $130.7 million in swaps over one day, pushing 30-day turnover to $4.59 billion and cumulative volume past $35 billion. The token changed hands between $4.97 and $5.10 after rebounding from $4.62. Protected trades were 9.4% of monthly activity, or $91.9 million, mostly Zcash-to-Bitcoin transfers; confidential TVL was $151–152 million.
NEAR also enabled account-key migration to the post-quantum ML-DSA standard, per co-founder Illia Polosukhin. The Bitwise NEAR ETF (NRR) drew $2.61 million daily, with $83.05 million cumulative inflows and $82.36 million net assets, equal to 1.26% of market cap. Its MPC network reached 17 operators, and short liquidations reportedly reduced selling pressure.
The activity may affect traders and institutions using cross-chain swaps, as deeper liquidity could lower friction but also concentrate attention on a few routes.
