The Oct. 19, 2026 New England Top 25 covers programs from Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. St. John's Prep, 6-0, stayed first after a 43-20 win over St. John's. Catholic Memorial, also 6-0, remained second by beating Xaverian Brothers 42-21.
New Canaan, 5-0, held third after a 42-0 shutout of Bridgeport Central. Central (5-1) and Greenwich (5-0) completed the top five. Scituate and Southington followed at Nos. 6 and 7, while Maine's and New Hampshire's top teams sat at No. 14 and No. 15.
These rankings may shape local pride and media attention around the six states' high school football programs. Players, coaches, families and alumni could see increased community interest as the postseason nears, while college recruiters and local businesses might pay closer attention to top teams. For schools outside the Top 25, the list may serve as motivation rather than a final judgment.
