The 35th Almost Acoustic Christmas is scheduled for Dec. 12 at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. KROQ, an Audacy-owned alternative rock station, will feature Foo Fighters, Weezer, Sublime, Interpol, Joyce Manor, Julia Wolf, Almost Monday and The Linda Lindas.
Proceeds will go to Para Los Niños and the Al Wooten Jr. Youth Center. Para Los Niños, founded in 1980 in Skid Row, supports children and families through education, wellness, advocacy and other services. The Al Wooten Jr. Youth Center offers free after-school and affordable summer programs. Ticket sales begin at noon on Oct. 30.
The 35th Almost Acoustic Christmas may strengthen Los Angeles’s alt-rock community by bringing together veteran and newer acts for a multigenerational audience. Proceeds could help Para Los Niños and the Al Wooten Jr. Youth Center expand or sustain youth-focused services, while the Kia Forum show may give local fans a shared cultural moment. Its charitable tie-in could also encourage other entertainment events to pair concerts with community support, though the actual impact will depend on ticket sales and donations.
