Rudolph Switch 2 Release Restored After Download Glitch

A Switch 2 version of Game Mill's Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer was initially unplayable because the eShop listing was missing, so physical game-key cards could not download the game. The digital file was only 82 MB rather than the expected 6 GB, which explained the error. Game Mill later said the issue had been investigated and resolved, allowing the game to download.
The problem surfaced when a Reddit user, AL_KATRAZZ, inserted the Switch 2 game-key card and received an error instead of a download. The eShop lacked the title, and its digital file appeared as 82 MB rather than the roughly 6 GB seen on other platforms, leaving nothing substantial for the card to unlock.
Game Mill later told TheGamer the matter had been looked into and fixed, so the key card should now initiate a download. The incident echoes another recent release problem: Ubisoft's Heroes of Might and Magic 3 complete edition arrived on Steam without its files.
Consumers who bought the physical Switch 2 edition could be most directly affected, since a game-key card depends on a working digital listing. The episode may prompt buyers to check whether physical releases require downloads and could shape trust in game-key cards as a format. Retailers and publishers may also face more questions about release-day readiness, while Nintendo's customer service could absorb confusion when storefront and physical products fall out of sync.
