Fortnite Wiki Error Falsely Gives Freddy Fazbear Access to Mjolnir
A Fortnite wiki entry led some fans to think Freddy Fazbear could equip Thor's hammer, Mjolnir, as a pickaxe. In-game checks showed the Five Nights at Freddy's character is not among the small group of skins allowed to use it. Only three Thor variants, Moon Knight, and Captain America are currently considered worthy.
Fortnite’s Mjolnir pickaxe is restricted to a tiny set of outfits: three Thor versions, Moon Knight, and Captain America. Moon Knight’s 2022 debut was the last addition to that worthy group.
A Fandom Fortnite Wiki page listing Freddy Fazbear among worthy outfits circulated online, but players who tried equipping him reported an in-game warning that he is not eligible. Screenshots showing Freddy with the hammer in the locker appear to omit that notice. The article also notes fans created a separate Fortnite wiki this year, citing intrusive advertising, poor phone support, and constraints on editing.
The error could briefly mislead Fortnite players and FNAF fans who rely on community wikis for cosmetic rules, and it may reinforce calls to treat fan-maintained references cautiously. Because the claim spread through a viral screenshot, it may also affect how readers judge Fandom’s reliability versus the newer fan-run wiki. The impact may be limited to entertainment communities, though it illustrates how small wiki mistakes can become widely shared gaming misinformation.
