Beatles Story Attraction to Expand With New Liverpool Location

The Beatles Story will move from Albert Dock to the former St Johns Market site near Liverpool Lime Street station and expand to 100,000 square feet. Apple Corps Ltd. now oversees the immersive attraction, which is planned to open in 2028. Paul McCartney said the plans reminded him of the band's path from Liverpool to the world and back.
The Beatles Story, an established Liverpool visitor experience, will leave Albert Dock for the former St Johns Market site opposite Liverpool Lime Street station. The planned venue covers 100,000 square feet and is scheduled to open in 2028 under Apple Corps Ltd.
It will use sets and props from Sam Mendes’s four-part Beatles biopic series, due in April 2028, to recreate places including the Cavern, Abbey Road, Shea Stadium and Savile Row. Ticket proceeds will support the Apple Corps Liverpool Trust for emerging Liverpool artists.
The expanded attraction could strengthen Liverpool’s cultural tourism, giving Beatles fans and local residents a larger year-round destination. Its tie to the Mendes films may draw film audiences into heritage spaces, while ticket-funded support may create modest opportunities for emerging Liverpool artists. The move could also shift visitor traffic from Albert Dock toward the Lime Street area, affecting nearby businesses and transport patterns. These effects may be positive but will depend on pricing, access and how well the experience serves both tourists and locals.
