Grafana Cloud adds shared context for infrastructure and incidents

Grafana Labs introduced a Knowledge Graph for every Grafana Cloud stack, along with Digital Experience Monitoring and updates to Incident Response Management. The additions link infrastructure and application dependencies with user experience and incident data so people and AI agents can investigate problems using shared context. The goal is to help teams trace technical symptoms to business impact and respond more effectively.
Grafana Labs said the Knowledge Graph will be included in each Grafana Cloud stack, alongside Digital Experience Monitoring and Incident Response Management changes. The system is meant to link the layers teams run and the services they depend on to what users experience and to incident records, giving both staff and AI agents a common investigative view.
The report, based on 300 IT and engineering leaders, found 30% could account for surprising system behavior but could not spot or stop problems before users felt them. New graph features include custom entities, a private-preview service catalog with ownership, and runtime context for agents.
If adopted, shared context could help operations teams, developers, support staff, and customers by shortening investigations and linking technical failures to user impact. Smaller teams may benefit from built-in context rather than assembling their own, though reliance on graph models and agent access may raise questions about data accuracy and governance. The effect likely depends on how well organizations curate ownership and dependency information.
