Plugable Adds Budget-Friendly USB-C Hubs With Fast Display and Charging Support
Plugable has introduced two USB-C hubs aimed at laptop users, creators, and professionals. The 6-in-1 and 8-in-1 models offer HDMI 2.1 output, support for high-refresh displays, and power delivery up to 100W. The 8-in-1 version also includes Ethernet.
Plugable is offering two USB-C hub options for people who use laptops and need extra connectivity. The smaller model has six ports, while the larger has eight; both can send video through HDMI 2.1 and drive displays at high refresh rates. Both also support power delivery up to 100W.
The eight-port version adds wired networking through Ethernet. The lineup is presented as budget-friendly, targeting laptop users, creators, and professionals who want expanded desktop connectivity.
The launch may matter most to budget-conscious laptop owners, creators, and professionals who need more ports at a desk. It could make multi-display work and wired networking easier to add without a premium dock, potentially helping home and hybrid workers assemble practical setups. The effect is likely modest, since these are accessories rather than platform changes, but broader access to fast display and charging support may influence buying decisions.
