Arc’teryx Debuts Postour Boot With Removable Slipper

Arc’teryx has launched the Postour Boot, a waterproof recovery shoe that includes a removable insulated slipper, a Gore-Tex liner and a Vibram Arctic Grip sole. It is sold in Black/Black and Tatsu/Black. The release is part of the brand’s own footwear line after its Salomon manufacturing partnership ended.
Arc’teryx’s new Postour Boot is a winter recovery design priced at $300 and offered via the brand’s website in Black/Black and Tatsu/Black. It combines a waterproof Gore-Tex liner, Vibram Arctic Grip outsole, an Endure 360 rubber wrap and a cinch closure intended to keep snow out.
Inside, a removable slipper adds 250 gsm Coreloft insulation, a merino wool lining and a Grotto Grip sole for indoor traction. The model follows Arc’teryx’s move to make footwear independently after its Salomon manufacturing arrangement ended in 2024, with its Portland Creation Centre producing in-house designs since spring 2024.
The Postour Boot may appeal to skiers, winter commuters and gorpcore shoppers who value multifunction footwear. Its two-in-one design could encourage other outdoor brands to treat recovery footwear as a lifestyle category, potentially influencing buying habits around pricey technical boots. Consumers with cold, wet commutes may benefit from added insulation and grip, while $300 pricing could limit access. The launch may also signal Arc’teryx’s broader push into independent footwear, affecting competitors and retail partners.
