Obsession Actress Meets Her Halloween Horror Nights Counterpart

Inde Navarrette visited Universal Studios Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights and came face to face with the performer playing Nikki Freeman from Obsession. She said the experience felt unreal and praised the scare actor for remaining in character during their interaction. The meeting came after the Nikki performer at the park reportedly cut a meet-and-greet short when guests harassed her.
Inde Navarrette’s weekend visit to Universal Studios Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights included photos with the park performer playing Nikki Freeman, her character in Obsession. Navarrette held a churro themed to the film’s One Wish Willow and copied Nikki’s party-scene frown. In a Tuesday Zoom conversation with THR, she characterized the meeting as almost unbelievable and praised the scare actor for never leaving character, calling that commitment a specialized talent and saying she wanted to high-five her.
The visit followed a report that the park’s Nikki performer ended a meet-and-greet early after guests harassed her earlier this month.
The crossover may strengthen fan attachment to Obsession and bring more attention to Halloween Horror Nights character performers, whose work can involve intense public interaction. It could also prompt parks and attendees to think more carefully about boundaries around scare actors, particularly after reports of harassment. For Navarrette, the meeting may reinforce her link to the role and its audience; for visitors, it may make the fictional horror experience feel more personal and participatory.
