Ocarina of Time Remake Offers Early Buyers a Zelda Wallpaper Bonus

Nintendo will give players a 40th-anniversary digital wallpaper if they buy the digital version of the Ocarina of Time remake before late Nov. 23. The bonus is tied to early purchases and comes in multiple screen formats.
Nintendo has set a Nov. 23 deadline at 11:59 p.m. PT for buyers of the digital edition to receive a 40th-anniversary Zelda wallpaper. The artwork mixes series imagery with a repeating Triforce design and is supplied in portrait and landscape layouts for different displays.
The remake arrives Nov. 5 with reworked graphics, spoken cutscenes, extra dialogue, orchestral music, revised controls and a modern camera, plus jumping and dashing. Its changes appear to refresh the 1998 game rather than add substantial new content, a point also raised around Nintendo’s recent Star Fox release.
The limited wallpaper bonus could nudge some nostalgic fans and undecided digital buyers to purchase earlier than they might otherwise, while giving longtime Zelda players a small commemorative item. It may also reinforce how platform holders use modest digital extras to shape launch-window spending. For newcomers, the remake’s modernized controls and presentation could make a classic entry more approachable, though the bonus itself is unlikely to affect anyone beyond early digital purchasers.
