Pollen Street expands Finbee Verslui credit line to €55M for Lithuanian SME loans

Finbee Verslui has obtained a €55 million credit facility from Pollen Street, increasing its existing senior secured facility from €35 million by €20 million. The Vilnius-based lender will use the capital to more than triple its maximum business loan size from €250,000 to €800,000, extend repayment terms, and offer more competitive rates. The move targets small and medium-sized businesses facing tighter credit access in Europe.
Finbee Verslui, founded in 2017, lends working capital through a digital process and its own credit models, aiming to fund borrowers in hours rather than days. It has made over €180 million in loans since launch—more than 6,000 loans to over 4,000 businesses—and originated over €40 million in 2025.
The enlarged facility follows a Pollen Street partnership begun in July 2024. It adds €20 million to the prior €35 million senior secured line. The ECB’s July 2026 survey found SME loan access weakening, with a net 5% financing gap and 43% reporting higher bank loan rates.
The expansion may help Lithuanian SMEs that need working capital but face reduced bank lending, potentially supporting hiring, inventory purchases, and continuity. Larger loan limits could benefit more established small firms, while faster digital decisions may widen access for owners without strong bank relationships. Still, higher borrowing costs and credit risk mean the impact depends on responsible underwriting; overborrowing could strain vulnerable businesses. Employees, suppliers, and local communities may feel effects indirectly through business stability or contraction.
