Comcast Posts Slight Q3 Revenue Gain as Broadband ARPU Slips and Wireless Grows

Comcast's third-quarter 2026 revenue reached $29.3 billion, a 0.5% increase, while adjusted EBITDA was $9.1 billion and adjusted EPS rose 7% to $1.07. Residential broadband ARPU dropped 2.9% and connectivity segment revenue fell 2.6%, but wireless added 368,000 lines and Peacock reached 48 million subscribers. Net debt fell by $10.1 billion from a year earlier to $76.6 billion.
Comcast reported third-quarter 2026 sales of $29.3 billion, adjusted EBITDA of $9.1 billion, and adjusted EPS of $1.07, up 7%. Capital spending was $3.7 billion, while net debt fell $10.1 billion from a year earlier to $76.6 billion, with leverage at 2.3 times.
Connectivity and Platforms revenue slipped 2.6% to $19.66 billion, and residential revenue fell 3.4%. Domestic broadband ARPU declined 2.9%, though it improved 90 basis points sequentially; about 45% of customers use gigabit-plus tiers. Wireless added 368,000 lines, and Peacock reached 48 million subscribers.
The mixed results could affect households and small businesses that depend on Comcast for internet and mobile service. Falling broadband ARPU may signal stronger promotional competition, potentially easing some price pressure, while wireless bundles could offer convenience but also lock customers into multi-service plans. Promotional lines converting to paid accounts may raise costs for some users. Lower net debt may give Comcast more flexibility to invest in network upgrades, which could eventually improve service quality, though benefits may vary by market.
