Blink expands home security lineup with 4K and long-range cameras

Amazon’s Blink announced five new home security cameras priced from $50 to $200. The lineup includes Blink’s first wired 4K model and two extended-range cameras that can reach up to 7,000 feet in open areas. Preorders opened on October 21.
Blink’s five-camera launch spans $50 to $200 and includes the Frontier XR+, Outdoor 2K XR+, Mini 4K+, Pan-Tilt Zoom 2K+, and Spotlight 2K+. The Mini 4K+ is Blink’s first wired 4K camera; the Frontier XR+ and Outdoor 2K XR+ include sync modules and are rated for clear-line-of-sight links of 7,000 and 2,700 feet. Preorders opened October 21.
The $50 Pan-Tilt Zoom 2K+ pans 350 degrees and tilts 115 degrees, while the $110 Spotlight 2K+ has four LEDs. The launch follows Blink’s 2026 move to 2K models and adds higher-resolution and long-range choices to its budget-oriented, simple-setup lineup.
The launch may broaden home surveillance options for people with large properties, remote gates, or outdoor areas beyond typical Wi-Fi range, while lower-priced models could make higher-resolution monitoring more accessible. It could also increase the amount of video data households generate and store, raising practical questions about privacy, consent, and data management. Neighbors and visitors near these cameras may be affected without directly choosing the technology, so the social impact will depend on how owners configure, share, and secure their footage.
