RoboBusiness becomes Robotics Summit & Expo West for 2027

RoboBusiness will be rebranded as Robotics Summit & Expo West, with the first event under the new name scheduled for October 2027 in Santa Clara, California. The change reflects the robotics industry’s shift from prototypes toward manufacturing, deployment, fleet management, and service. The conference will focus on scaling commercial robots and building sustainable robotics businesses.
Arrowfly is retiring the RoboBusiness name after two decades and will launch Robotics Summit & Expo West in Santa Clara, California, in October 2027. The organizer says the field has moved beyond early demonstrations, with companies now shipping products into industrial plants, storage facilities, and other work locations.
Program themes include expanding robot fleets across live locations, commercial strategy for hardware-software-service offerings, using field performance data to refine products and AI models, and how founders and investors build durable companies. A separate Boston event in June 2027 will concentrate on engineering and technical development, while the West show addresses product and business growth.
The rebrand could signal that commercial robotics is becoming more operations-focused, which may affect manufacturers, warehouse staff, service providers, and buyers evaluating automation. If the event helps companies improve deployment and support, businesses could gain more reliable systems and clearer ROI, while workers may see changing job tasks and training needs. Investors might get better information about which robotics ventures can scale, though the conference itself is unlikely to change outcomes directly.
