A cheaper Yoga Slim 7x trades power and storage for a $749.99 price
Best Buy is selling a Yoga Slim 7x configuration for $749.99. It uses a Snapdragon X2 Plus X2P-42-100 chip, 16GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD, and a 14-inch OLED touchscreen. The article notes that this model has half the memory and storage of the X2 Elite review unit, so buyers should weigh those limits against the lower price.
Best Buy’s offer is for model 83QR000AUS, SKU 6672161, in Cosmic Blue. It pairs the Snapdragon X2 Plus X2P-42-100 with 16GB RAM, a 512GB SSD, and a 14-inch OLED touchscreen. The article compares it with the reviewed X2 Elite X2E-88-100 model, which had 32GB RAM and 1TB storage; images show the review unit rather than the sale configuration.
The review described an aluminum design, a roomy glass touchpad, and a USB-C-only layout without a headphone jack on the tested unit. Readers are urged to consider their software, docks, monitors, and wired accessories, and to check delivery or pickup availability by ZIP code before ordering.
This deal could broaden access to a premium-feeling OLED Windows laptop for budget-conscious students, remote workers, and travelers. Its reduced memory and storage may suit everyday tasks but could frustrate people with large photo libraries or heavier creative workflows. Because Snapdragon Windows compatibility varies, buyers may need to verify niche apps and accessories first. The offer may also signal that ARM laptops are moving toward lower price tiers, though the practical impact depends on how well software and peripheral support meet mainstream expectations.
