Fontaines D.C. launch 'Dopamine Chamber' tour with Lisbon arena show

Fontaines D.C. began their 2026 arena tour at Lisbon's MEO Arena, playing a 19-song set. The Dublin band performed eight tracks from their new album 'Dopamine Chamber' alongside fan favorites and older songs. During 'Where Is Gone?', frontman Grian Chatten walked into the crowd holding a Palestinian flag.
Fontaines D.C. opened the European leg of their 2026 arena tour at Lisbon’s MEO Arena on 21 October. The 19-song performance drew eight numbers from their fifth album, Dopamine Chamber, released five days earlier, including the singles “Marianne,” “Tongue,” and “Where Is Gone?” plus “You Miss Me,” “Happy For You,” “Mimesis,” “Japan,” and “Six Shot Morning.”
The staging featured a silver platform, a matching backdrop with the band’s logo, hanging “FDC” signage, and bright lighting. During “Where Is Gone?” Grian Chatten moved through the audience along a runway carrying a Palestinian flag and covered both vocal parts, since Rosalía appears only on the recorded version. The tour continues in Madrid and Barcelona before further European and UK dates.
The flag gesture could amplify discussion among concertgoers and online audiences about the band’s public stance, potentially drawing new attention to how artists use arena stages. It may also shape how fans and promoters view the tour, with reactions ranging from solidarity to criticism. Because the tour continues across Europe and the UK, the moment could influence local media coverage and audience expectations at later shows.
