Weekly security product roundup: cloud patching, AI threat modeling, and OT access controls

This week’s security product roundup covers four releases. Sweet Security introduced immediate virtual patching for cloud and AI workloads, ThreatModeler launched an AI-assisted threat modeling tool, IDENTOS made its access-policy platform generally available for AI agents, and AppGate added session oversight for operational technology.
Sweet Security’s Virtual Patching lets teams shield live cloud and AI workloads from known flaws immediately, buying time while a permanent remedy is built and rolled out. ThreatModeler’s NexusAI works inside its Nexus platform to automate parts of threat-model creation, review, and upkeep.
IDENTOS’s PolicyArc, now generally available, centralizes access-policy definition, enforcement, and auditing, including for AI agents acting for users. AppGate’s Session Governance extends its March 2026 OT zero-trust offering by adding live session oversight and supervisor-controlled termination when activity leaves approved bounds.
These releases could affect security teams, cloud and AI service operators, and critical-infrastructure providers by shortening exposure to known flaws and improving oversight of automated and third-party access. Faster virtual patching may help organizations protect services while fixes are prepared, and session controls may reduce risks from remote OT vendors. Broader use of AI-assisted threat modeling and agent-focused policy tools could also make access governance more consistent, though adoption may depend on integration effort and trust in automated recommendations.
