Westside Gunn Reveals New Album Heelmatic and Egypt-Set Video

Westside Gunn has announced a new album, Heelmatic, scheduled for November 13 via Griselda Records and Mass Appeal. The lead single Zilla has a video shot in Egypt, showing him rapping while riding a camel near the Great Pyramid. He will support the record with a UK and European tour in early 2027.
Heelmatic is set for November 13 through Griselda Records and Mass Appeal. The 16-track project includes songs such as “Grant Heel,” “Blowdysseus,” “Koke Slam,” and “Egyptian Cadillac.” Gunn previously described the record in a summer post as gritty, dusty, soulful, and jazz-rooted while also promising it would stand apart.
The “Zilla” visual first appeared on Instagram in August and has now reached YouTube. It places Gunn on a camel in Cairo and near the Great Pyramid, with lyrics referencing Oakleys, Glocks, and brick-chopping imagery. After the album, he plans a UK and European run called Heel the World Tour 2: “Still Healing.” His prior full-length releases were three 2025 mixtapes.
The album and Egypt-set video could raise Westside Gunn’s visibility beyond Griselda’s core audience, drawing new listeners to underground hip-hop and to the visual appeal of Cairo and Giza. The European tour may benefit venues, local hospitality, and fans who travel for shows. Because the rollout leans on striking imagery and a distinctive persona, it may also influence how independent rappers market albums, though its broader cultural impact is likely modest and concentrated among music fans.
