Approved Fan Expansion Brings Cintra To The Witcher 3 On PS5

CD Projekt Red has approved a fan-made Cintra expansion for The Witcher 3 Remastered on PS5. Created by modder GerwantTOTW, it adds the capital and surrounding areas, a village called Hilden, about five hours of gameplay, 12 quests, and economy changes.
The approved add-on comes from solo modder GerwantTOTW and is playable on PS5 through The Witcher 3 Remastered. It recreates Cintra’s capital and nearby lands, adds the village of Hilden, and supplies roughly five hours of content across twelve quests, alongside revised economy systems.
Narrative is delivered through subtitles rather than voice acting, with support for English, Polish, German, French, Czech, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Hungarian, Turkish, and Brazilian. Players access it by linking a CD Projekt Red account, finding “Cintra” on mod.io or the in-game menu, then starting a fresh Tales of the Witcher campaign; normal saves are hidden while active and return after removal.
The approval could encourage more console players to explore fan-made content, giving PS5 owners a reason to revisit The Witcher 3. It may also signal to modders that officially supported expansions can reach living-room audiences, potentially influencing how publishers view curated community projects. At the same time, reliance on subtitles and account linking could shape accessibility and convenience for some players.
