Pharmaline to Develop 90,000-SF Supplement Plant in London, Ontario

Mississauga-based Pharmaline plans to build a 90,000-square-foot manufacturing facility on a five-acre site in London's Innovation Industrial Park. The plant would make more than 300 products in formats such as tablets, capsules, powders, gummies, and softgels, and could create up to 70 jobs. London city council approved the land sale on Oct. 14, though the final purchase price was not disclosed.
Pharmaline, headquartered in Mississauga, intends to move part of its production beyond the Toronto area with a 90,000-square-foot plant on five acres in London’s Innovation Industrial Park. The site sits close to Highway 401 and Veterans Memorial Parkway, and city council cleared the land sale on Oct. 14; the final price was not made public.
The facility is designed to turn out tablets, capsules, powders, gummies and softgels, with room for more than 300 product lines. Pharmaline says the project could support as many as 70 jobs and help Canadian health-product companies depend less on imports. Founder and CEO Suresh Kolla pointed to London’s location, workforce and industrial-development stance.
The project may broaden London’s advanced-manufacturing and life-sciences base, potentially giving local workers and suppliers new opportunities while adding industrial activity near major transport routes. Canadian health-product brands could gain a domestic production option, which may shorten some supply chains and reduce exposure to import disruptions. Residents could see indirect effects through employment and local spending, though the scale of those benefits would depend on hiring, construction timing and whether the plant reaches its planned capacity.
