Ratos Posts Q3 Sales Growth and Sharp EBITA Gain

Ratos reported third-quarter sales growth of 6%, driven by industrial products and infrastructure businesses. Adjusted EBITA increased 29% and adjusted earnings per share nearly doubled, with return on capital employed rising to 7.9%. The company said it is continuing to divest non-core holdings as part of its 2030 strategy.
Ratos’s third-quarter 2026 call, held Oct. 23, featured CEO Gustaf Salford and CFO/IR Anna Vilogorac. Sales rose 6%, with industrial products and infrastructure leading; industrial-services orders improved, and defense-linked orders and projects continued to grow. Results improved across most portfolio companies.
Adjusted EBITA climbed 29%, adjusted earnings per share almost doubled, and return on capital employed reached 7.9%, up 160 basis points. Under its 2030 strategy, Ratos said it is still pursuing divestments of non-core companies and will provide updates when available.
The quarter’s gains could support job stability and supplier confidence at Ratos-owned businesses, especially in industrial and infrastructure operations. Divestments may change ownership and strategic priorities, potentially affecting employees, local communities, and business partners. Stronger defense-related orders could also influence the wider industrial base, though the effects would depend on how those projects develop and how divestments unfold.
