JPMorgan Asset Management Puts Money Market Tokens on Solana
J.P. Morgan Asset Management has expanded its tokenized MONY and JLTXX money market funds to Solana for qualified U.S. investors, following an earlier Ethereum launch. The funds' investment and eligibility rules are unchanged, with Solana serving as an additional network for issuing, transferring and redeeming tokenized shares. MONY is a private-placement fund for qualified purchasers and accredited investors, while JLTXX is a government money market fund structured to support stablecoin issuers under the GENIUS Act.
J.P. Morgan Asset Management introduced MONY and JLTXX on Ethereum in December 2025; Solana is their second blockchain. The firm says the funds’ investment approach and investor eligibility are unchanged, while Solana adds another route for tokenized-share issuance, transfers and redemptions.
MONY is a Rule 506(c) private placement open to qualified purchasers and accredited investors. JLTXX is a registered government money market fund aimed at serving stablecoin issuers under the GENIUS Act. Eligible clients use Morgan Money, and J.P. Morgan published Solana token addresses for public supply and transaction checks. No Solana issuance amounts were disclosed.
The expansion may strengthen institutional familiarity with public blockchains for cash management, potentially giving stablecoin issuers and qualified investors more regulated on-chain options. It could encourage further tokenized-fund experiments, yet limited access and undisclosed balances suggest near-term effects on ordinary savers may remain small.
