ESR launches foldable iPhone Duo cases and charging accessories
ESR has introduced accessories made for Apple's foldable iPhone Duo, led by magnetic cases with a rotating Flex Stand. The cases are designed to protect the hinge and both surfaces while supporting Qi2 25W charging and a strong magnetic hold. ESR also offers retractable 45W and 100W chargers for use at home or while traveling.
ESR’s lineup addresses the foldable’s two main physical concerns: safeguarding the hinge and supporting the device in multiple positions. The Classic Hybrid model uses a zinc-alloy stand rated for 3,000 cycles, a slim rear profile, and Qi2 25W charging compatibility; the Atelier version adds a silicone-leather finish, microfiber lining, and four color choices.
Both models add extra shielding around the fold, elevated rims near screens and cameras, and magnets rated to hold 1,500g or 1,400g. ESR’s retractable 45W and 100W chargers are positioned for home, travel, or transit use.
These accessories could make foldable phones more practical for early adopters by addressing hinge wear, viewing angles, and charging convenience. Consumers who use their phones for calls, video, or travel may benefit most, while accessory makers may face pressure to design around new foldable form factors. The effect on broader adoption is likely modest, since cases and chargers supplement rather than determine whether people choose foldables.
