Bitcoin ETFs draw $1.07B in three days while price remains weak

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted $1.07 billion over three sessions, reversing earlier October outflows and lifting the monthly net to about $460 million. Even with the renewed inflows, Bitcoin fell to $81,470 as the market stayed under pressure. Investors are watching the Federal Reserve meeting on October 27-28 for possible direction.
U.S. spot Bitcoin funds took in about $1.07 billion across three trading days, with $524.8 million arriving Wednesday and $526.7 million Monday, the latter all through BlackRock’s IBIT. That reversed earlier October withdrawals and left the month’s net at roughly $460 million. The funds now hold about $100.8 billion in net assets, while lifetime net inflows total $58.4 billion.
Bitcoin traded near $81,470, down 2.4% in a day but up 2% over a week, after nearing $85,000. Ether slipped 2.6% to about $2,393, the overall crypto market value fell 2.9% to $2.84 trillion, and Zcash dropped 5.6% while remaining up about 14% weekly. JP Morgan Asset Management projects 10% annualized returns over 10–15 years with 55% volatility.
The split between strong ETF inflows and weaker Bitcoin prices may affect how retail savers and institutional allocators view crypto as a portfolio asset. Easier fund access could draw some investors seeking fund-based exposure, while continued price softness may make others cautious. Pension funds, advisers, and exchanges could also face more questions about volatility and risk, especially as Fed guidance and long-term return assumptions shape confidence in digital assets.
