Ethereum was near $2,460.98, a 0.52% 24-hour gain, as it steadied after sharp swings. The $2,415 area has capped recent advances, while buyers defended $2,370–$2,380.
Lookonchain data cited by Cointelegraph showed a large holder exchanged about 1,917.7 BTC, valued at $159 million, for roughly 64,545 ETH worth $155 million over 11 days. Futures positioning also shifted: short volume fell from above 14,000 to about 3,000, while longs rose from under $100 million to around $365 million.
The large BTC-to-ETH shift and futures repositioning could influence sentiment among retail traders and smaller holders, potentially amplifying short-term price swings. If Ethereum holds support, it may reassure businesses and developers using its network; failure near resistance could prompt caution. Households with crypto exposure may see outsized gains or losses because digital-asset markets can move quickly, so the episode may be read as a signal of confidence rather than a guarantee.
