Pancreatic Cancer Risk Rises with Number of Worrisome Cyst Features

A prospective study of over 200 patients found that the risk of developing pancreatic cancer increases with the number of worrisome or high-risk traits in pancreatic cysts. A single trait carried a 2% risk, but three or more traits raised the risk to nearly 20% over almost three years. The findings, published in Gastroenterology, suggest that accumulating concerning features should inform surveillance decisions.
