Rare crinoid fossil preserves delicate tube feet from over 450 million years ago

University of Oklahoma paleontologists have identified a crinoid fossil with preserved soft tissue, including tube feet, dating back more than 450 million years. This is only the second known crinoid fossil with such preservation and the oldest example found. The find offers a rare glimpse into the anatomy and behavior of early reef animals.
