Asus has opened pre-orders for the ROG Xbox Ally X20, a handheld with an OLED screen and transforming D-pad. The standalone system costs $1,299.99, while a bundle with AR glasses and accessories is $2,499.99. The device ships on October 15.
The X20’s $300 price jump over the original Ally X buys a 7-inch OLED panel, a switchable four-to-eight-way D-pad, TMR joysticks, and a translucent shell with rubberized grips, while keeping the same AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme chip. The $2,499.99 bundle pairs the handheld with ROG Xreal R1 Edition 20 AR glasses, a dbrand Killswitch case with kickstand and gold accents, and a heavy-duty Pelican case bearing a 20th-anniversary logo.
