Beatles Unearthed Home Recording Shows Lennon and McCartney Crafting 'Day Tripper'

A previously unreleased work tape captures John Lennon and Paul McCartney developing an early version of their 1965 single "Day Tripper" at Lennon's home in Surrey, England. The recording, which predates the song's iconic guitar riff, features the duo laughing between takes as they refine the track. It will be included on the upcoming special edition of the album "Rubber Soul," due out October 2, alongside a new mix and 24 early recordings.
