Sony unveils Bravia 6 OLED, a more affordable option with four HDMI 2.1 ports

Sony has introduced the Bravia 6 OLED TV, a new model that sits below its higher-end OLEDs and is designed to rival midrange TVs from LG and Samsung. Available in five screen sizes from 48 to 83 inches, it includes a 120Hz panel, Google TV with Gemini, and support for Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, and DTS:X. The TV also offers four HDMI 2.1 ports and a redesigned remote, with pricing starting at $1,300.

The Bravia 6's four HDMI 2.1 inputs represent a first for Sony's OLED television range, a feature that may point to a MediaTek Pentonic 800 processor, though the company declined to confirm this detail. The set is positioned directly against LG's C6 OLED and Samsung's S90H QD-OLED models, with the 48-inch version launching at $1,300.

The redesigned remote shifts streaming service shortcuts to the top of the device, enlarges the directional pad, and incorporates a built-in microphone for hands-free Gemini control. The Bravia 6 was initially spotted in June on a wall-mounting compatibility chart before today's formal unveiling, and it supports Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, and DTS:X across all five screen sizes.
