House GOP shifts to election-year messaging as Senate stalls voter ID measure

House conservatives, led by Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, have threatened to block all Senate-originating legislation until the measure advances. Luna claims 24 GOP colleagues support this stance, and similar tactics earlier in the summer stalled House proceedings and forced an early July Fourth recess. The bill has created significant inter-chamber tension, with House members criticizing senators as "lazy" while praising allies like Sen. Rick Scott.
