Dell announced the 14S (model DS14270), a mainstream 14-inch laptop available in four pastel-inspired colors, targeting students and professionals seeking an affordable yet stylish device. The aluminum chassis weighs from 2.65 pounds and includes two USB-C ports, HDMI, and a headphone jack—more than the XPS 13 offers. Powered by Intel's Wildcat Lake processors, the laptop can be configured with up to 16GB RAM, a 1TB SSD, and an optional high-capacity battery that Dell claims delivers 21 hours of Netflix streaming.
The 14S positions itself between Dell's premium XPS line and budget offerings, pairing Intel's Wildcat Lake chips with either a 60Hz 1920x1200 panel or a faster 120Hz 2880x1800 display.
