Nvidia's RTX Spark N1X chip will come in two variants for October laptops
Nvidia confirmed that its Arm-based RTX Spark N1X chip will ship in two configurations for laptops and mini PCs starting in October. The top-tier version features a 6144-core GPU and up to 128GB of unified memory, while a lower-spec variant has 5120 cores and up to 32GB. The N1 chip is not expected until later.
The two N1X variants target different device classes. The higher-spec version pairs a 6144-core Blackwell RTX GPU with a 20-core Grace CPU and up to 128GB of unified memory, suited for mini PCs like Microsoft's Surface RTX Spark Dev Box. The second configuration reduces the GPU to 5120 cores and the CPU to 18 cores, capping memory at 32GB, which will likely power most mainstream laptops from Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, and MSI.
Nvidia has only vaguely promised 100fps 1440p gaming with ray-tracing and DLSS. The N1 chip remains unreleased for now. With memory shortages looming, pricing may land at the premium end of the market when October launches arrive.
