New Co-Production Pitch Initiative Debuts at Madrid's Iberseries Event

The Iberseries & Platino Industria conference in Madrid has introduced the Euro-Atlantic Series Co-Pro Pitch Program, which brings together European TV projects seeking development support. The initiative aims to connect projects with key partners to accelerate financing, production, and distribution. It is distinct from the existing Coproduction & Financing Forum but shares the same goal.
The newly unveiled Euro-Atlantic Series Co-Pro Pitch Program debuted at the Madrid-based Iberseries & Platino Industria conference. It specifically targets European television series currently in their development phase, aiming to expedite their journey toward funding, production, and release.
While separate from the existing Coproduction & Financing Forum, the initiative shares a fundamental purpose of linking creators with industry partners. General coordinator Rodrigo Ros noted that the program seeks to streamline the entire process for these projects, helping them secure necessary support.
This initiative could strengthen cross-border collaboration within the European television sector, potentially enabling smaller production houses to secure vital financing. By streamlining development, it may accelerate the arrival of diverse, high-quality series to global audiences. Viewers could benefit from richer storytelling, while industry professionals might see more sustainable career opportunities through expanded international partnerships.
