The event coincides with the November release of “Origins 1971-1978,” a boxed set compiling previously unheard demos, live cuts, and studio outtakes from the band’s pre-fame years in Gainesville and Los Angeles. The project is curated with the cooperation of Petty’s estate, offering a deeper look at the group’s formative sound before their 1976 debut album.
