Voice simulation startup Treble secures $18M to expand AI testing tools

The company provides physics-based simulation and synthetic data generation for voice AI developers, hardware makers, and robotics firms, with customers including Amazon and Logitech. It also partnered with Hugging Face to create a benchmark for speech recognition models under realistic conditions.
Treble was established in 2020 by two acoustic engineers, Finnur Pind and Jesper Pedersen, and has steadily built a funding base that now exceeds $40 million following the latest $18 million extension led by Paladin Capital Group. The startup's core premise is that physics-based simulation can generate audio data more reliably than scraping recordings from the internet, which has been the dominant approach for training sound-related AI systems.
The company serves a dual purpose: providing synthetic data for voice AI model training and evaluation, and enabling virtual prototyping for hardware makers.
