Disrupt 2026 adds five more investors to Startup Battlefield judging panel

TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 has announced five additional venture capitalists who will judge the Startup Battlefield 200 competition. The judges include Vaibhav Agrawal of ODDBIRD VC and Anu Bharadwaj of ICONIQ Growth, among others. Selected founders will pitch for six minutes and face investor questioning for a chance at the $100,000 prize.
The five newly announced judges bring complementary expertise across the startup lifecycle. Agrawal, a trained physician and Stanford MBA, focuses on pre-seed AI investments in healthcare and industrial automation through his 2024-founded fund. Bharadwaj spent nearly 12 years as Atlassian's President and COO, scaling the company to billions in annual revenue before joining ICONIQ Growth. Ho, General Catalyst's youngest partner, holds a Harvard degree and has backed companies including Poke, acquired by Cognition in July 2026. Presler brings growth equity experience from Summit Partners and Warburg Pincus to her IVP role, focusing on Series B through pre-IPO investments. These judges join ten previously announced investors on the panel. The competition runs October 13–15 at Moscone West, with founders delivering six-minute pitches followed by investor questioning. Registration discounts expire September 25.
This judging panel could shape which early-stage startups gain visibility and funding momentum, potentially influencing which technologies attract venture capital in the coming years. The judges' diverse backgrounds—spanning enterprise software, healthcare AI, and infrastructure—may signal shifting investor priorities toward AI-enabled industries. For the thousands of founders attending, observing how these investors evaluate pitches could inform their own fundraising strategies. The competition's $100,000 prize and exposure may provide a meaningful launchpad for selected companies, potentially affecting hiring, partnerships, and subsequent investment rounds.
