Moonbug Launches Big Feelings Music to Boost Children's Artists
Moonbug Entertainment, known for CoComelon and Blippi, has launched Big Feelings Music to support children's and family music artists. The new company offers distribution, funding, publishing administration, and marketing services, along with access to Moonbug's YouTube network. Children's music ranked ninth in U.S. on-demand audio consumption in 2025, with 15.7 billion streams.
Moonbug’s new division bundles services that independent children’s music acts often lack, including rights management, playlist pitching, and access to its established YouTube channels. The launch roster mixes viral preschool brands like English Tree TV with celebrity-linked projects such as Snoop Dogg’s Doggyland, which recently partnered with Blippi. Luminate data cited in the announcement shows children’s music drew 15.7 billion U.S. on-demand audio streams in 2025, yet the category remains lightly served by major labels. CoComelon’s “Wheels on the Bus” alone surpassed two billion video streams last year, underscoring the format’s reach.
This move could reshape how family-oriented music reaches young audiences, giving smaller creators the infrastructure to compete with major franchises. Parents and children may benefit from more diverse, higher-quality offerings, while artists gain sustainable revenue paths beyond viral moments. However, consolidation under Moonbug’s network might narrow independent voices, as platform access becomes tied to its commercial ecosystem. The impact likely hinges on whether the service genuinely elevates emerging talent or simply funnels them into Moonbug’s brand orbit.
