Samsung's Galaxy S27 Pro Leak Reveals 2nm Processor and LPDDR6 RAM
Leaks indicate the Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro will join the S27 lineup in Q1 2027, replacing the Edge series and targeting the iPhone 18 Pro. The phone is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 in some markets and an Exynos chip in India, alongside LPDDR6 RAM and UFS 5.1 storage. It will also introduce a new M16 OLED display material.
The Galaxy S27 Pro marks Samsung's response to the discontinuation of its Edge series, which struggled after the Galaxy S25 Edge's poor sales performance. The new model slots between the standard S27 and the Ultra, giving Samsung a four-device flagship lineup for the first time. The M16 OLED panel with Colour-Filter On-Encapsulation technology is expected to deliver improved colour accuracy while reducing power consumption. The Indian variant will run on Samsung's in-house Exynos 2700 chipset paired with a 5,200mAh battery, while other markets receive Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6. The phone also adopts next-generation LPDDR6 RAM and UFS 5.1 storage standards, positioning it as a direct competitor to Apple's iPhone 18 Pro.
This launch could intensify the premium smartphone rivalry between Samsung and Apple, potentially driving faster innovation in processor efficiency and display technology across the industry.
