Blues Unveil Blue Note+ as Exclusive Regional Broadcast Home

The St. Louis Blues introduced Blue Note+ as the exclusive platform for regional game telecasts, with distribution through Spectrum and Prime Video. The team will produce 73 local games this season. Streaming subscriptions are priced at $19.99 per month or $99.99 per year.
The Blues' new platform covers 73 locally produced games this season, with the remaining 11 contests reserved for national broadcasters. Production will originate from a newly built cloud-connected control room at Enterprise Center, allowing road games to be produced with the same setup as home contests, supplemented by additional stationary and robotic cameras.
The broadcast team remains intact, with Chris Kerber and Joey Vitale handling play-by-play and analysis for an eighth consecutive season. Supporting talent includes studio host Andy Strickland, Hall of Famer Bernie Federko, and former defenseman Jamie Rivers. The NHL's centralized production group will provide studio programming, graphics, and technical support.
This shift could reshape how regional sports networks operate, as teams increasingly control their own distribution. Fans may benefit from more direct access and flexible streaming options, but the $19.99 monthly price could create a barrier for casual viewers accustomed to cable bundles. The model may influence other franchises considering similar moves, potentially accelerating the decline of traditional regional sports networks and altering local broadcast economics.
