Taylor Swift Expands 'The Life of a Showgirl' With Four Encore Tracks
Taylor Swift has released 'Patient Zero,' 'Cleveland!,' 'Pink Clouding,' and 'Babylon' as part of The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore. A video for 'Patient Zero' starring Swift, Colin Farrell, and Dakota Johnson is set to premiere at the VMAs on Sunday. The additional songs were written with Max Martin and Shellback after Swift visited them in Sweden.
The Encore adds four tracks to Swift's 2025 album: "Patient Zero," "Cleveland!," "Pink Clouding," and "Babylon." It follows earlier editions titled So Glamorous Cabaret Version and So Punk on the Internet Version. Swift created these new songs with Max Martin and Shellback after traveling to Sweden to mark the original record's success.
A music video for "Patient Zero" features Swift alongside Colin Farrell and Dakota Johnson. Its full debut is scheduled for Sunday's VMAs, where Swift will also receive the first Artist Director Honors. Since the album reached No. 1 last October, she has entered the Songwriters Hall of Fame and National Recording Registry and contributed "I Knew It, I Knew You" to Toy Story 5.
The release may intensify attention around Swift's fanbase, streaming platforms, and awards-show viewership, especially as the VMAs use the video premiere and new honor to draw audiences.
