Egyptian fintech PayMint reaches semifinals at Money20/20 pitch contest

PayMint, an Egyptian financial technology and digital payments company, finished its participation in the Money20/20 conference in Riyadh. It was selected among 25 semifinalists in the MoneySurge pitch competition from 150 companies. The company presented its payment and fintech solutions to investors and industry experts.
PayMint is an Egyptian fintech and digital payments firm founded in 2019. It targets both businesses and individuals, with particular attention to small and medium-sized enterprises. Its offerings include digital payments, payroll administration, settlement of dues, and employee financial services and benefits.
In 2022, the company closed a seven-figure seed round led by AUR Fintech Fund to support its Egyptian market growth and SME-focused services. It also introduced a prepaid Meeza card with Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank – Egypt and MDP. At Money20/20 Riyadh, it was among 25 semifinalists in MoneySurge, chosen from 150 firms.
PayMint’s semifinalist showing may raise its regional profile and attract investor interest. If its tools scale, small and medium-sized businesses and their employees could gain easier access to digital payroll, payments, and benefits, potentially improving financial inclusion and operational efficiency. Consumers may also see more prepaid and digital payment choices. The real effect, however, will depend on adoption, regulation, and competition in each market.
