Kyiv Hit Again in Evening Attack, Two Dead and 13 Injured

A Russian strike on Kyiv on Wednesday evening killed two people and wounded at least 13, officials said. Falling drone debris started fires and damaged buildings in several districts, including a residential courtyard and a high-rise. The attack came hours after a nationwide overnight barrage killed at least 25 people.

The evening strike hit Kyiv's Solomianskyi and Obolonskyi districts, officials said. In Obolonskyi, debris from a drone ignited parked cars in a residential courtyard; a woman was found dead beside a burning vehicle. Emergency officials first counted four wounded, then said one had died, leaving two dead and three hurt. Later, six people were hospitalized, including a seriously injured young woman.
Earlier that day, another attack in Kyiv wounded eight in Solomianskyi, while debris affected an educational site in Dniprovskyi and an administrative building roof in Sviatoshynskyi.
