MaxSolar financing, Cargill PPAs, and EWE hydrogen deal lead renewable updates

MaxSolar closed a €155 million debt facility with Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners to refinance existing obligations and fund a roughly 1.3 GW German solar and battery portfolio. Cargill signed a 12.6-year virtual wind power agreement for 87 MW from South Dakota’s Sweetland Wind project and has an 85 MW Oklahoma solar supply deal. EWE agreed to provide 500 tonnes of renewable hydrogen annually to tesa starting in 2028 from a planned 320 MW electrolysis plant in Emden.
MaxSolar’s €155 million facility from Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners replaces debt arranged in 2023 and adds capital for construction and selected acquisitions. Its German portfolio totals about 1.3 GW, split into roughly 912 MW solar and 379 MW battery capacity, with 465 MW already operating.
Cargill’s South Dakota wind contract runs 12.6 years and covers 87 MW, expected to generate about 392,000 MWh yearly. Its Oklahoma solar agreement covers 85 MW and began operating in August 2026. EWE plans to supply tesa with 500 tonnes of hydrogen yearly from Emden starting 2028.
