Pokemon GO Halloween 2026 Event Adds New Exclusive Pokemon and Bonuses

Pokemon GO has detailed its 2026 Halloween event, which will run in two parts from October 27 to November 5. The event includes the debut of an exclusive Pokemon along with rewards and other limited-time bonuses. It follows the game's 10th anniversary celebrations and seasonal Twilight Trails content.
The 2026 Pokemon GO Halloween celebration is split into two phases: October 27 through November 1, then November 1 through November 5. During it, nighttime audio changes to Lavender Town’s theme, and PokeStops, encounter screens, and Gyms receive spooky decorations. Players can also earn rewards through a GO Pass and themed Field Research tasks.
Four debuts headline the event. Three costumed creatures appear: Pikachu with a pancake-style hat and capelet, Zubat in a top hat, and Sinistea wearing a Drifloon bow-tie. These also join one-star raids, with shiny versions possible. Shiny Greavard, a Ghost type first added during 2023’s Halloween event, also debuts. New Gothic avatar clothing and Halloween stickers arrive in the shop.
The event may draw lapsed and active players back into Pokemon GO during late October and early November, potentially increasing time spent walking and socializing outdoors. Local businesses near popular play areas could see modest foot traffic, while some players may feel pressure to spend on passes or shop items. Its seasonal timing may also strengthen the game's role as a shared Halloween ritual for mobile gaming communities.
