Eighteen Houston Festivals and Events to Check Out This Week
This weekly roundup highlights 18 festivals and events across Greater Houston from Monday, October 5, through Sunday, October 11, 2026. The list includes Sarah Bareilles at the Hobby Center, a Texas music series at Discovery Green, and the Bayou City Art Festival in Memorial Park. It also features pet-friendly gatherings, Pearland Restaurant Weeks, and other seasonal activities.
The roundup covers Monday, October 5, through Sunday, October 11, 2026, and lists 18 options in chronological order rather than by rank. Offerings range from free park performances and cultural festivals to ticketed concerts, art fairs, restaurant promotions, and photography workshops.
Sarah Bareilles brings her Good Grief Tour to The Hobby Center on Wednesday and Thursday. Discovery Green hosts a free Texas music night Thursday and the free Korean Festival Saturday and Sunday. Bayou City Art Festival fills Memorial Park Friday through Sunday with more than 270 artists, plus beer and wine gardens, a community art project, and live performances.
This week's varied lineup may draw residents and visitors to venues across Houston, Pearland, Katy, and The Woodlands. Free cultural and park events could widen access, while ticketed concerts, art festival, and restaurant weeks may support local artists, vendors, restaurants, and hospitality workers. Pet-friendly gatherings may strengthen community ties among animal owners. Because many events overlap, audiences may spread across the region, potentially easing congestion at individual sites while still generating economic and social activity.
