Most of the money, $354.1 million, went into its spot Bitcoin ETF FBTC, while Ethereum received $66.6 million and Solana $18.2 million. The purchases came as Bitcoin's price fell from about $87,000 to roughly $81,000 amid selling pressure.
Fidelity’s 20-day buying spree totaled $438.9 million across crypto ETF vehicles, according to Arkham Intelligence. Its spot Bitcoin fund, FBTC, absorbed $354.1 million, while Ethereum products drew $66.6 million and Solana products $18.2 million. The allocation shows institutional money still favors Bitcoin, though Fidelity also added exposure to two other major tokens.
The purchases occurred while Bitcoin slid from roughly $87,000 to about $81,000. That decline coincided with heavier selling pressure, which the source linked to possible retail exits and near-term volatility. Even so, Fidelity’s steady ETF inflows suggest large investors kept engaging with crypto despite the pullback.
Fidelity’s ETF purchases may signal deeper integration of crypto into mainstream finance. Investors using brokerage or retirement accounts could gain easier exposure to Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana, while asset managers may face pressure to offer similar products. That broadening access could also expose more households to sharp price swings, especially when selling pressure builds. Market watchers may treat such institutional flows as a confidence gauge, though they do not guarantee future performance.
