Apple's Packed October Schedule Includes iPhone Duo and Smart Home Event

Apple has several product milestones scheduled during the last three weeks of October. The company will host an October 13 event for a new smart home hub, HomePod mini, and Apple TV 4K, while iPhone Duo pre-orders start October 16 and the device launches October 23. Additional products are rumored for October 27, and the iPhone Duo is set to reach 28 more countries on October 30.
Apple's late-October roadmap spans six notable dates. On Oct. 12, customers can prepare for an iPhone Duo preorder. The next day, a "Welcome home" event is set to introduce a new smart home hub, HomePod mini, and Apple TV 4K. Preorders open Oct. 16 at 5 a.m. PT, with the iPhone Duo arriving Oct. 23.
Rumored Oct. 27 debuts include OLED-touchscreen MacBook Pro redesigns, an OLED iPad mini, a 14-inch MacBook Pro with M6, and an M6 iMac. The iPhone Duo reaches 28 more countries Oct. 30. It ships with iOS 27.1, while iOS 27.2 may arrive in October. A 512GB-RAM Mac Studio is slated for late October without a date.
Apple's packed schedule may intensify consumer attention and spending during late October. Early adopters, smart-home users, creative professionals, and students could weigh upgrades. The smart-home event may encourage more connected households, while new Macs and iPads could affect remote workers and creators. Rapid country expansion may broaden access, but availability, pricing, and environmental costs could shape actual benefits.
