Coca-Cola HBC Bulgaria taps Enery for solar-plus-storage power
Enery and Coca-Cola HBC Bulgaria EAD have agreed to a long-term physical power purchase agreement for renewable electricity from the Knizhovnik hybrid plant in southern Bulgaria. The facility near Haskovo pairs 122 MWp of solar capacity with two battery storage systems of 70 MWh and 130 MWh, producing roughly 200 GWh annually. In June 2026, Enery also inaugurated the 54 MW Titu Solar Park in Romania, which is expected to generate about 80 GWh per year.
The deal is a long-term physical PPA, so Coca-Cola HBC Bulgaria EAD will receive locally produced renewable power on a fixed solar-generation schedule. The Knizhovnik site, near Haskovo, pairs 122 MWp of solar panels with batteries rated at 70 MWh and 130 MWh, yielding about 200 GWh per year.
Separately, Enery opened Romania’s 54 MW Titu Solar Park in Dâmbovița County in June 2026. Its DC capacity is 54.28 MWp and AC capacity 42.60 MWac; it uses over 88,000 modules and should produce roughly 80 GWh annually.
This agreement may give Coca-Cola HBC Bulgaria a steadier route to renewable electricity, potentially reducing exposure to volatile power prices. Communities near Haskovo could see grid and storage benefits from the hybrid plant, while Romania’s Titu project may add regional clean-power supply. Workers, suppliers, and nearby residents might gain from operations and maintenance activity, though actual effects depend on operation, grid conditions, and how the electricity is used.
